AFC Bournemouth
Mike Dean will take charge of AFC Bournemouth’s Premier League clash with Newcastle at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
Dean has been a member of the Select Group of referees since 2000 and has officiated no fewer than 475 games in the top flight.
The 50-year-old was in the middle for the Cherries’ 2-0 win over Brighton in December and the 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace in October.
His first Cherries game was the 2-0 triumph at Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship in November 2014,
Dean, who has issued 99 red cards in the Premier League, has taken charge of 11 games involving the Cherries in the top flight, including seven at Vitality Stadium.
In 2003, Dean was promoted to the FIFA list and took charge of World Cup and European Championship qualifying matches.
The Cheshire-based official stepped down from the international list at the end of 2013 at the mandatory retirement age of 45.
He was in the middle for the 2008 FA Cup final when Portsmouth defeated Cardiff City at Wembley and also officiated Birmingham City’s League Cup triumph over Arsenal in 2011.
Dean, who is also a member of the FIFA officials’ list, will be assisted at Vitality Stadium by Ian Hussin and Adrian Holmes, while Lee Probert is fourth official.
