AFC Bournemouth cruised to an 8-0 win over Newbury to make it three wins from three in the Southern Region Women’s Premier League.

The Cherries took the lead just two minutes in. A cross from Eden found Emily Phillips, who backheeled for Smith to convert from close range.

Eden then bagged her first of the afternoon with a delightful team goal which started at back. An eventual ball in from Kingshott found Eden, who cut inside to finish into the top corner.

Just over ten minutes later, Kingshott then scored her first goal for the Cherries, while there was also time for Davis to strike before the break for 4-0.

Steve Davies’ side started the second half strongly and soon got what they deserved with four goals in five frantic second half minutes.

Firstly, Harvey slotted home with 65 minutes on the clock, before Burridge tapped home from the back post for a sixth.

Moments later and it was Tape who netted, while Eden then got her second of the afternoon for the side’s eighth.

Following the game, a delighted Steve Davies spoke with afcb.co.uk.

“I’m really pleased with the result and performance."
