Ryan Fraser's first-half double sets up a 4-2 win for AFC Bournemouth against Leicester City in an action-packed Vitality clash.

Fraser continued his fine start to the season as he swerved home a composed opener, and the 24-year-old doubled his and the side's tally when pace scorched the winger through the City backline before a composed finish.

Joshua King slotted home a penalty as the first-half goals kept flowing for the hosts following a defensive handball.

Foxes captain Wes Morgan was dismissed for a second yellow card with 20 minutes remaining, the resulting space allowing Adam Smith to capitalise and convert from 12 yards to lengthen the lead.

Leicester struck two late goals, the first a James Maddison penalty and the second a Marc Albrighton header, as the winning margin was halved but there was no denying the Cherries their win in a rampant display.

Starting in bright autumnal sunshine, Jamie Vardy was soon on the shoulder and springing onto a ball in the box, but Asmir Begovic was sharp from his line and snuffed out the danger, before some Callum Wilson trickery saw Harry Maguire enter the book.

There were home cries for a penalty when Fraser was sent sprawling by Ricardo Pereira, but next, and inside 20 minutes, the Scot gave the Cherries the lead.

King played the sumblime ball to the onrushing Fraser and the 24-year-old stepped inside Wes Morgan to plant home a delightful finish from the edge of the area.

Home blood rushing, Wilson soon slashed wide and Maguire soon got closer to the edge of his personal disciplinary tightrope after a late tackle on King - one which Eddie Howe and the crowd vehemently believed was a second yellow card.

Things were not going all the home side's way, however. Following Vardy's shot Maddison found space in the box and fired goalwards, with Begovic's body deflecting his effort onto the underside of the crossbar, Cherries defenders were gratefully on hand to clear.

Ten minutes before the break though and Fraser made it two.

Wilson turned smartly on halfway, galloped into space and fed through for his pacey team-mate. Cautioned Maguire was loathed to tackle and Fraser's speed gave him the room to squeeze a low finish under Kasper Schmeichel.

There was more action to come before the break, King slotting home comfortably after a gift of a penalty was conceded when Pereira needlessly handled on the right edge of the area.

Into the second half and while Leicester sought a foothold attack was the best form of defence for Bournemouth and Wilson pounced on a errant defensive pass but didn't have luck on his side as Maguire deflected his strike a whisker wide.

The Foxes began to up the pressure around the hour mark, Wilfried Ndidi heading a corner over before a double visiting changed freshened the side up going into the final stretch.

While Maguire may have been close to a red card in the first half, his defensive partner Morgan did receive that punishment in the second, picking up his second yellow after going in hard on Smith.

The dismissal took the sting out of visiting tails, and Fraser's afternoon then became even more productive as his cross from wide on the left was slammed home by Smith in the centre as the Cherries stretched their lead to four goals.

A Diego Rico foul late on brought down Periera for a Leicester penalty, coolly dispatched by Maddison, and soon substitute Albrighton flicked home a header in the box for City's second, but the goalscoring was the finished and the Cherries had their points.

Flying Fraser

Fraser's first-half double and second-half assist added to his already-secured Premier League goal and assist - ahead of kick-off the Scot was responsible for creating five big chances this season, two more than any other player. Last month's player of the month also notched a Carabao Cup goal in an electric start to the new campaign.

While Fraser appeared in a number of positions throughout last season this year he has consistently been played in a favoured attacking role, on the left flank with the ability to cut inside onto his right foot - and has played every minute of the season so far.

Cherries rewrite Foxes form

In six games before today in the Premier League the Foxes and Cherries have battled it out in tight affairs, five of which have been draws, but from the moment Fraser started the scoring that never looked likely to be the case on Saturday.

Verve and ruthlessness meant Bournemouth continued their unbeaten streak against the Foxes while also becoming the first side to score more than once in any of the sides' top-flight confrontations, pulling four points clear of City in the table as a result of their impressive win.
