Thanks for following...

It might have been a poor performance from us, but we appreciate you following these updates and everything across our channels.

Thank you for your support and see you next week.

Another big game just got bigger against Brighton next week. Thank you!

16:53

FULL TIME

In all fairness to Burnley, a good efficient display from them but a poor day for us.

We've been beaten at home by someone outside the top six for the first time since November 2017.

90'

Chance for Wilson...

Big one that.

A great delivery from Fraser from the right hand side - a world class cross - but Wilson manages to get a toe on it and put it over in the area.

Again, sums up our day today.

90'

Four minutes added time here...

88'

Chance!

Solanke!

A great cross from Ake from the left and a great run by the frontman!

He beat his man but nodded it towards the back post with Tarkowski heading it off the line!

The rebound then fall to Fraser but Heaton was able to gather.

85'

Five minutes to go...

Unfortunately it's going to be a defeat for us from the looks of it.

You never know, but it's not looking likely at all.

80'

Ten minutes to go...

77'

....It's straight at the wall.

That free-kick ends up straight at the Burnley wall and that sums up our day really.

We need a huge moment in quality to get us back in it as we approach the 80th minute...

78'

Ben Mee has been booked...

A really good counter attack!

Adam Smith threaded a great ball for King before it bundles to Solanke and he is completely wiped out by Mee.

A free-kick 20-yards out in a great area...

72'

Chance...

A delightful cross from Fraser's free-kick reaches King but he has to glance it, and glances it wide.

A decent chance, good bit of quality from Fraser.

We need a goal soon to mount a comeback!

71'

20 minutes to go...

70'

Final change for us...

Our third sub sees Lerma make way for Stanislas.

It looks like a straight swap in the heart of midfield, so it's Stanislas and Brooks as central midfielders.

Eddie is going for it!

68'

Again, nothing to really talk about...

We're trying to get things going but it's tough against this well drilled Burnley team.

Junior Stanislas looks set to come on shortly as he's stripped and ready on the touchline...

60'

A physical one!

63'

Chance for Burnley...

We just can't get out.

McNeil swings in a cross from the left and Wood almost meets it eight-yards out, fortunately for us he just misses it!

We need to up our game here to be in with any chance...

59'

Sub for us...

We immediately respond by bringing on Dominic Solanke.

He replaces skipper Dan Gosling - which means Ake is now captain and it looks like we'll play 4-3-3, with Brooks dropping to a deeper midfield role with Solanke, Wilson and King as an attacking trio.

57'

It's another poor one unfortunately...

Taylor gets the ball for Burnley on the left and it looks like it could have gone out of play.

But he crashes a hopeful ball into the box which isn't defended well and Barnes steals in to poach it in.

57'

GOAL for Burnley.

3-1 now and Ashley Barnes has scored.

55'

Chance for Ben Mee...

Not far away.

We're on the back foot as Burnley whip in another free-kick and it's nodded just wide by Mee at the back post.

We're living dangerously at the moment...

50'

Nothing to shout about so far...

Five minutes into the half and Burnley are already looking to play the clock down.

We haven't created anything just yet but hopefully that will change shortly!

46'

Half time sub...

Not sure if it's because of injury, or more likely because he's on a yellow card.

But Clyne is off for Diego Rico, with the Spaniard playing at left-back and Smith moving over to his favoured right-back role.

And on that note, we're back underway! Come on lads!

HT

A big second half ahead...

47'

HALF TIME

Well, we've had plenty of chances and nearly moments, but we're 2-1 down at the break.

Burnley capitalised on their positive spell with two goals, but you get the feeling there are plenty more goals in this one!

See you in 15 minutes where hopefully we mount a memorable comeback.

40'

Unlucky!!

So close!

Another slick passing move sees us get King and Brooks combining on the right, with Brooks slipping a great pass which looked intended for Fraser in the box!

It was on Fraser's right foot and he looked set to curl one, but King took it right off his toes to stop the clear opportunity!

Unfortunate!

35'

Ashley Barnes booked...

He got a long ball and looked set to race in on Begovic's goal - the Bosnian comes out and Barnes slides to try and get the ball.

Begovic has to hurdle the challenge and for being out of control, Barnes is booked.

It did look like he pulled out though and didn't intend to catch the keeper.

32'

Jeff Hendrick booked...

Similar to Clyne's - a clear pull back after he's been beaten by Smith.

Second player to go into the book.

27'

Save by Begovic...

Burnley try a set play routine where instead of going high, they whip a low one to the near post.

Mee gets there first and Begovic had to sharp to parry it low at the near post - good save.

Again, their threat coming from their effective long balls and high crosses.

29'

Clyne goes into the book...

McNeil is causing problems down that side.

The winger beat Clyne but was pulled back - clear yellow.

25'

A good response...

These last five minutes have been all us.

We look sharper and when we do get moves flowing we look dangerous.

We almost had another good chance but King's pass fell short of Wilson, and as we type Wilson is well tackled by Mee in the box!

Much better from us!

24'

WHAT A CHANCE!!!!

FOR WILSON!

SHOULD BE 2-2!

Better from us though, Fraser works it infield to King and it then gets swept wide for Brooks on the right! He passes it first time into the middle and Wilson has beaten his marker with a great run.

He's eight-yards out but nods over! Great opportunity!

18'

Westwood buries it...

McNeil has caused us problems on the left.

He swings in a cross which is only half cleared and Westwood is in the box to sidefoot it in.

The rebound fell kindly to him but we could have done better.

Burnley have turned it around.

20'

GOAL for Burnley.

A poor clearance and we're 2-1 down.

Ashley Westwood scores.

18'

Their direct approach pays off...

After a series of crosses and some excellent defending, Burnley have been direct again and paid off.

A high looping cross deceives us and Chris Wood is free at the back post to nod in.

That's exactly what they've been after, physical and direct. 1-1.

18'

GOAL for Burnley.

Chris Wood heads in.

They've been knocking on the door in these last two moments and they've equalised.

16'

Great chance!

For Brooks!

He's looking more lively in his favoured right midfield role!

Joshua King does really well to outmuscle Tarkowski and drive towards goal.

He slips it to Brooks who had ran past his marker but with plenty of time and on his favoured side, he hits a tame effort straight at Tom Heaton.

Really good play!

14'

Good play!

David Brooks waltzes into the penalty as the result of some great work by Ryan Fraser!

Brooks skins Charlie Taylor on the left with ease, and his cut back is just cut out by a Burnley defender!

We really turned on the style thee with plenty of possession in tight areas - Jefferson Lerma has been instrumental in all of our positive passages of play so far.

13'

Celebration = Together

10'

Not been at our best...

We haven't started particularly quickly or intensely, but we do have the lead.

A lot of the game so far has been defending Burnley's direct approach.

Every time James Tarkowski and Ben Mee get it, they're crashing high and looping balls in an attempt to catch us out.

Ake has been solid so far though.

It's not pretty but we're defending well and have that crucial opening goal.

04'

Exactly what we wanted!

A free-kick from David Brooks is whipped in with pace from the left!

It's nodded on by Jefferson Lerma and Nathan Ake looks set to head in, but Ashley Barnes did it for him in the six-yard box!

So a little bit of fortune, but a great start! 1-0 here!

04'

GOALLLLL!

GET IN! GREAT START!!!!

OWN GOAL!!!!

01'

We are underway!

So, Callum Wilson kicks off and gets us going.

Good atmosphere and hopefully the fans can will the team on to a result today!

Burnley have opted to swap ends...

That's a strange one.

No-one ever makes us swap usually, so in this first half we'll be attacking the Vitality Steve Fletcher Stand.

Mind games from Burnley early on!

14:35

Head to head...

Well, Burnley have the upper hand in the Premier League.

Three of the five top flight games have been won by the Clarets, including the 4-0 win back in September - one we want to forget!

They could secure a double against us for the first time since the 1999-2000 season, back in the third tier.

But in the last five top flight meetings there have been 18 goals, so at least there should be some goals today!

14:26

Some bad news...

14:17

Hopefully another good day for this man...

Your Michael Matthews Jewellery Player of the Month was Chris Mepham - after a solid March he keeps his place in the starting XI.

Mepham is really making an impression at Vitality Stadium since arriving in January which is great to see.

He told the Bournemouth Echo before the game: “In the Championship you get a lot of centre-forwards that use their body well and have a good presence.

“I like to think I’m used to coming up against those sorts of players and subsequently a different sort of test to the one we had at Leicester.

“I think Burnley will be more direct but hopefully we can get a result. The physical side of my game is definitely something I’m keen to improve.”

14:07

One to watch...

It's been some season for youngster Dwight McNeil.

He trained with the senior England team during the international break and looks to have some future ahead of him.

McNeil, only 19, can become the first teenager to score in three successive Premier League appearances since Romelu Lukaku for West Bromwich Albion between February and March 2013.

14:00

Team news!

Charlie Daniels is out, but Adam Smith is back to take up the left-back role.

That's our only change from Leicester, even the bench is the same!

13:37

Supporting No Room For Racism today!

13:24

Team news...

Is coming here in 30 minutes.

We're hopeful that Adam Smith will be involved, he's trained for the first time since getting a thigh strain four weeks ago.

Steve Cook and Andrew Surman are both out, with Simon Francis and Lewis Cook both long-term absentees.

Burnley look set to name the same team that they used in the 2-0 win against Wolves, with Peter Crouch, Aaron Lennon and Steven Defour all absent.

Full team news announced here first at 2pm!

13:08

A man in form...

If you're a betting man, (which you should do in moderation of course) then this is something to bear in mind if you're looking at the odds...

Joshua King has scored six goals in his last five Premier League home appearances.

Fit for a king!

12:49

WHAT A STAT!

This has been brought to our attention today and despite some of our recent woes on the road - this is a big stat!

We're unbeaten in our last 19 home league games against teams from outside the 'top six' since a 2-1 defeat by today's opponents Burnley - all the way back in November 2017.

We've won 10 and drawn nine of those games. That is superb form against the teams around us!

12:37

What can we expect from Burnley today?

Burnley head south today with a bit of a bounce after last weekend.

They beat high-flying Wolves at Turf Moor and that ended the Claret's four-match losing streak and handed them their first clean sheet in nine league games.

Speaking to local journalist Chris Boden, he said: "It's felt like a long season, as everything started with the Europa League back in July. Burnley have never quite felt like themselves."

Interesting, but they'll be bang up for it today to get themselves out of relegation danger.
