Eddie Howe this week celebrated his five-year anniversary since returning to the Cherries as manager.

236 games, 392 goals and 104 wins later, the 39-year-old continues to sit at the helm of AFC Bournemouth, driving the club from strength to strength season after season.

Following reaching his milestone, here’s what the boss had to say on the last five years.

"When you look back as a whole, the last five years have gone incredibly well, better than I could have wished or hoped for,” he began.

“Things have gone so much quicker in terms of success than any of us expected, getting to the Premier League and all that has brought with it.

“Hopefully I will be here in another five years, things change so quickly in football.

“When you work hard to get the best from the team, every day is a blur, let alone a year. That makes it hard enough to think about tomorrow, let alone five years.

“I just hope we grow as a club. When you look longer term it’s about growing the club and putting in place the infrastructure, things like the stadium, which help build our future.

“You want to sit back and see that the club is moving to a better place.”
