Loan watch: Surridge nets in Glovers win

AFC Bournemouth youngster Sam Surridge was on target in the latest round of mid-week fixtures.

Along with two fellow loanees, the striker was in Football League action last night, whilst one player saw his game fall short due to the weather.

Here’s a closer look at how the Cherries got on…

Sam Surridge

It was an excellent evening for Surridge and Yeovil, who recorded a 2-0 win over Barnet at Huish Park.

The Cherries youngster slotted home a penalty inside two minutes, after being brought down by Ricardo Santos in the box. Daren Way’s side now move up to 17th in League Two.

Ryan Allsop

Allsop, on loan at Lincoln, kept a clean sheet and saw his side run out 1-0 winners over Cheltenham Town thanks to Neal Eardley’s strike just before the half-time whistle.

Aaron Ramsdale

Fellow ‘keeper Ramsdale got 90 minutes between the sticks for League Two side Chesterfield, who lost 3-2 at home to Cambridge.

Elsewhere

The only other Cherries loanee due to feature last night was Ben Whitfield, currently on loan at Port Vale. However, his side’s home fixture against Exeter was postponed due to the weather.
