AFC Bournemouth had two senior players in international action over the course of the weekend.

Joshua King helped his Norway side beat Slovenia, while Nathan Ake’s Holland overcame Germany in fashionable style.

The latter came on as a second half substitute, with the Netherlands 1-0 up thanks to a Virgil van Dijk header from close range.

In the final ten minutes of the game, with Ake on the pitch, both Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum found the back of the net to give the hosts a 3-0 victory and lift them up to second in their Nations League group.

Elsewhere, King played a full 90 minutes as Norway defeated Slovenia at home in their Nations League fixture.

Ole Selnaes scored the only goal of the game seconds before the half-time whistle blew, with his half volley flying into the top corner from outside the box.

Norway now move into second in their Nations League group, three points behind Bulgaria.
