The results have been released this week on the world's top footballing brands.

AFC Bournemouth have been named the 26th most valuable football brand in the world by industry experts Brand Finance.

The Cherries are also the highest new entry in the organisation’s annual ‘Football 50’ report.

The study – the only one of its kind - analyses and ranks top clubs by the value of their brand.

Bournemouth’s impressive ranking sees them placed above European giants including Inter Milan, AS Roma, Marseille and Valencia in the results.

Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona lead the way as the world’s three most valuable football brands.

According to the data, the Cherries have a brand value of $220m (£172m) and are the highest-placed of the seven new entries found in the results.

The results were generated by calculating aspects such as clubs’ brand revenues, brand value and the brands’ royalty rate.
