Scrimshaw bags hat-trick in Grecians win

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Striker scores a treble in come-from-behind win over Exeter City.

Trailing 1-0 at the interval, Alan Connell's men turned things around in the second half, with Jake Scrimshaw the star of the show with a well-taken hat-trick.

Manager Connell told afcb.co.uk about the match and performance: "We started the game well, we had a lot of the ball but didn't really make any chances.

"We had control but then after half an hour conceded from a corner and went in behind. At half time I told the players that we wanted to see their characters come out and asked them to get back to basics.

"The response was really good, they were positive going forwards and came back into the game, Jake scoring three good goals. We played some really good stuff after the break and got what we deserved."
