U18s strike back to draw with Hatters

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Topsy-turvy match ends in a 3-3 draw between AFC Bournemouth and Luton Town.

The Cherries under-18s took a two-goal lead before a Hatters revival saw the visitors at Canford Arena take a lead in the second half, only for Glover to net with a late header to complete the scoring.

"It was very strange, having such a similar game to to the weekend just a few days later," youth team manager Alan Connell told afcb.co.uk.

"The conditions were tough as the pitch was very heavy but early on we showed some moments of real quality. We were 2-0 up but conceded a poor goal just before half time and that put Luton's tails up.

"Then it became a different game and we struggled to get out as they scored two more goals. We went 3-2 down and it became a real test of our effort and character.

"We got the equaliser and managed to get a draw from the game. Jake Scrimshaw's form is excellent at the moment with a lot of goals in recent matches, that's credit to him and all the hard work he's done in training and on his finishing."
