FULL TIME

That's it from the City Ground.

A tough run out for the lads wagainst a team who are a week or two ahead in their pre-season schedule.

A good crowd, tough opponents, just the result missing really!

Thank you for following these updates, we'll see you next week for another double header, against Real Betis and Marseille at Vitality Stadium!

16:47

85: Five minutes to play...

Not a lot is happening on the pitch.

Lewis Grabban has fired over but apart from that, it looks like a dull end to the game with not a lot of time remaining.

16:41

78: Decent opening for Mahoney!

Fraser gets down the right flank and puts in an inviting cross for Mahoney.

He's got room at the back post but his touch just lets him down as he steams into the penalty area.

He cant force a shot on goal in a good area, but positive!

16:37

76: A second sub for us...

Connor Mahoney comes on for us.

He'll replace Brooks, who has had a decent game.

Now it looks like Mahoney will play wide, with Hyndman in the 10 role behind Mousset.

It's been a really quiet last ten minutes of the game here.

16:30

68: Subs all round...

They're bringing on four players, including Lewis Grabban who left us in the summer.

For us, Emerson Hyndman is coming on, Wilson is making way.

That means that it's Mousset up top as a nine, with Brooks in behind and Hyndman wide left as it stands.

16:25

63: Save by Boruc...

We defend a corner really well, before the second phase of pay finds Ben Osborn in the area and hits an effort which Boruc is able to get down to cling on to,.

We're looking to break on Forest as we tick past the hour mark. There is a goal in this game for us, Brooks is getting plenty of the ball and is looking likely to make something happen.

16:19

58: Close...

Brooks lively again.

He's just made beating a player look easy, he glided along the turf and skinned the full-back, before cutting into the area onto his favoured left-foot.

He strokes one which curls narrowly wide. Decent effort.

16:13

Looking to get a way back into the game...

16:11

50: Unlucky!

We work the ball really well up to the edge of the box where Brooks is waiting.

He takes a brilliant touch and finds a pass that was extremely difficult, with the outside of his boot to get wilson in behind.

A great pass, but Danny Fox was there with a solid tackle to thwart the frontman.

Better.

16:09

48: GOAL for Forest.

Not good.

Gil Dias brought the ball down on the right-hand side before driving into the area. It looked like he was going to square it but instead opted to go for goal, wrapping - in all fairness - a magnificent effort into the corner.

2-0 down.

16:05

45: We are back underway...

No changes for us - the lads were chatting to Lewis Grabban who remains on the bench for Forest during the break.

In other news, the Forest press team have supplied us with Magnums in the press box - classy club ;)

Back underway!

15:54

HALF TIME

After forcing Pantillimon into a number of saves, we find ourselves a goal down at the break.

We started well but Forest ended the half well themselves and got the goal through Tendayi Darikwa's back post finish.

Hopefully a big second half finish to come!

15:51

HALF TIME

After forcing Pantillimon into a number of saves, we find ourselves a goal down at the break.

We started well but Forest ended the half well and got the goal through full-back Tendayi Darikwa.

Hopefully a big second half to come!

15:48

44: Save by Boruc...

Probably a comfortable one, but it was a good strike from Adlene Guedioura.

He hit a firm low effort from 25-yards, which whizzed along the surface but Boruc was able to get down low himself and smother the ball.

That should be the last action of the half...

15:45

41: Forest on top...

Since the goal they've had a good spell.

We're looking to stay in our shape as they have more of the ball.

Darikwa, the goalscorer, had a half decent chance as a blocked shot came to him 20-yards out - he powerfully headed it but it went harmlessly over.

15:39

35: GOAL for Forest.

Forest counter on us and get the breakthrough.

The ball gets switched out to the left-flank and the winger shifts it and puts in a dangerous cross which is met by full-back Tendayi Darikwa (formerly of Burnley) to tap in at the back post under pressure from Daniels.

We're a goal down here.

15:32

30: Unlucky!

We counter swiftly and Mousset drives from just inside the Forest half at the heart of the Forest defence.

He slips in an almost inch perfect pass for Daniels who has steamed forward, but an interception JUST stops Daniels pulling the trigger.

From the resulting corner, Wilson has a drive well blocked.

The initial counter and running from Mousset, as well as Daniels off the ball, was excellent!

15:30

27: Forest look tidy...

Under manager Aitor Karanka they're keeping the ball well.

They haven't threatened majorly but they look like a tidy side, and they're obviously ahead of us in their preparations as next week is the start of their season.

A good opposition pick for a friendly!

15:25

Making things happen...

15:25

21: Another chance!

Another save!

It's Wilson and Brooks combining again... The midfielder finds Wilson in the area and he whips a shot with the inside of his foot that forces the huge 'keeper into a diving parry!

We do look threatening going forward!

15:24

20: Great chance!

That is a sublime touch by Brooks!

He picks up a loose ball and glides past the defender with ease. He has Wilson running beyond him and threads a brilliant ball in behind for the striker.

He tries to round Pantillimon and the 'keeper does well to show him wide... Wilson gets a touch and then shoots but Pantillimon does well to get the block!

Close!

15:20

15: SAVE!

Costel Pantillimon - the giant Romanian, is forced into action.

Wilson gets in behind the Forest defence and it's a 50/50 ball with the 'keeper... Wilson wins the race and gets a free-kick out wide roughly 25-yards out.

Fraser steps up and deceives everyone by whipping it towards the near post - it fooled the 'keeper who had to spill it... It was bobbling around the danger zone before being cleared.

Decent opening!

15:17

14: Good chance for Mousset!!

We whip a corner in from the far side and Wilson heads it on from the back post.

It's not quite cleared and Arter gets a clever touch back into the danegr zone to keep the pressure on, Mousset swivels well and scuffs an effort wide unmarked in the box.

Good play, just missing a finish!

15:15

10: Two chances for us...

Not majorly clear cut one but we force Forest into two good blocks in the box.

A sweeping move from back to front, particularly down the left-hand side sees Fraser get free in the box. He pulls it back cleverly to Brooks but his effort just inside the area is well blocked by a last ditch tackle.

The rebound is collected and eventually distributed to Mousset who gets half a yard in the area, but a left-footed effort is again well blocked.

First period of pressure for us in the game!

15:12

08: Trademark Arter!

Forest have a small passage of play, it's neat and tidy and we get back into our defensive shape.

It's ended though, by a brilliant slide tackle from Arter - a proper slide tackle - one which he's known for with the fans.

Great stuff. But as you can tell by this post, it's a quiet start to the contest!

15:09

05: First five...

No real chances.

We've had more of the ball early doors, as we - in our trademark style -  look to efficiently play out from the back.

The only time we've really threatened was through Mousset's surging run after two minutes, but that's it so far.

Fairly quiet start.

15:05

02: Some good early running...

Mousset looks up for it!

He evades a dreadful tackle out wide right, before beating another player with a strong run.

He won a free-kick in a dangerous area, which came to nothing. Good powerful, trick play early on from our new number nine.

14:58

The teams are out!

It's a lively crowd here at the City Ground - one of the 'proper' stadiums if you will.

Should be a good one, we'll keep you well up to date here, join us!

14:55

The weather is doing all sorts...

It's approximately five minutes 'til kick-off, and there's lots of people here, I'm guessing at least 6,000 from what we can see.

But the supporters might be ill prepared for the weather, we've had glaring sunshine, torrential rain and wind - and it keeps changing!

Wonder if that will affect the game...

14:52

A young bench today...

Comprised of some of our talented under-21s players.

Nnamdi Ofoborh and Alex Dobre both travelled to La Manga with the first team and are amongst the subs, while Connor Mahoney and Emerson Hyndman also went to the first team training camp.

Matt Worthington, who made his Premier League debut last season, is also there with Shaun Hobson, Sam Surridge and Mark Travers (pictured).

14:28

Today's kit...

Forest are renown for their red home kit...

But we'll be in red and black this afternoon! We think Forest are wearing a change kit of some kind, but the Cherries are in familiar colours this afternoon!

14:15

Looks like a flat back four...

After playing the first two games with a back 'five' or 'three' depending on how you look at it, we're back to a back four for the second consecutive game.

Francis will be at right-back with Daniels back in at left-back.

It looks like our favoured 4-4-1-1 with Mousset behind Wilson.

TEAM NEWS

Eleven changes for the game today from last night's fixture...

14:02

Missed last night's action?

It was a tough evening against a strong Bristol City side, who were preparing for the start of their season next week.

Joshua King fired us into the lead, before Andi Weimann equalised.

13:58

Welcome!

We're live at Nottingham Forest for our second pre-season friendly in as many days!

It's quite warm and sunny at the City Ground as the lads take in their surroundings ahead of the team news announcement which is coming shortly.

Should be a good day's football!
