Thank you for following!

A good win under the lights!

We've bounced back from Burnley in a good way, the crowd give the players a standing ovation, they had to dig in a lot this evening.

Thank you so much for following, or if you've listened to the live commentary, top stuff.

We'll see you next weekend for Watford - a good feeling to take into the rest of the week!

21:53

FULL TIME

What a win!

We had to dig deep, but we've ground out that result!

The stadium is buzzing with that one!

David Brooks gets us going with his first Premier League goal before Patrick van Aanholt equalises.

But Junior Stanislas' late penalty, his first touch after coming on as a sub, sees us take three valuable points!

GET IN!

93'

90: A big scuffle...

Plenty of players involved from both sides...

Lerma and Sakho get booked for their parts in it, a bit unsavoury as Palace players pile into the melee.

Should play down the clock though...

88'

90: Four minutes of added time...

Not as much as we thought to be honest.

Time for us to hang on, the crowd are willing us over the line!

87'

87: His first touch...

Is to dink a penalty home!

Cool as you like, he waits for Hennessey to dive and he just cooly lifts it over him!

GET IN THERE!

86'

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!

BACK WITH A GOALLLLLLLL!

86'

86: Lerma wins it!

Stanislas to take it!!

Lerma took a whack from Sakho and Stanislas will step up...

85'

PENALTYYYYY!

WE HAVE A PENALTY!!!!

85'

85: Great save Hennessey!

Another top save!!

A great ball in by Wilson wide right, Gosling steams into the area and heads it, but Hennessey does so well to tip it away!!

Great stop, so unlucky!

That's got the crowd going again!!

84'

84: Second sub for us...

King will make way now for Stanislas.

Stanislas will play wide left in a straight swap for the Norwegian.

82'

83: SHOULD BE 2-1!!!

Fraser does SO WELL!

He drives with such rapid pace in on goal, and he cleverly squares to Wilson with the goal gaping.

But Wilson with the goal at his mercy, hits a left-footer which Hennessey comes out to get a crucial toe to!

Should've been a goal!

81'

81: Junior is coming on...

He's getting some final instructions from Tindall and Howe as he gets ready to hopefully make an impact for us.

78'

77: A booking...

No one else saw it but Mike Dean.

Townsend was booked for pulling back Smith off the ball and it was missed by everyone in the ground but the referee, a good spot.

Francis drills the free-kick wide... A big period ahead!

70'

72: Zaha cups his ears to the crowd...

'He's gonna dive in a minute' chant the Cherries fans.

To which Zaha responds by cupping his ears to the crowd. This is after Steve Cook shackled him well out wide on the left with some excellent defending.

Pantomime villain.

67'

66: Not a bad effort from Townsend...

Fortunately it flies wide from the edge of the area.

It seems as though there's a nervousness whenever Palace get the ball and try and drive at our defence from wide areas.

Nothing clear cut since the goal for Palace though.

65'

Trying to find a way back in front...

64'

63: Chance!!!

A great ball in by King!!!

He fizzes one in, Ake and Wilson are unmarked - Ake nods it on to Wilson at the back post - but Wilson can't divert it in unmarked eight-yards out!

Unlucky!!

61'

60: Better!

An encouraging counter!

Fraser and Francis combine well on the right and the skipper dinks a lovely ball to the back post to King - he nods it into the middle where Wilson waits...

He's unmarked but swivels and volleys wide - the flag is up but a positive piece of play that's got the crowd back in full voice.

59'

57: First sub for us...

Goalscorer Brooks makes way for Dan Gosling.

That means that we're going to play 4-3-3 - it's a trio of Gosling, Lewis Cook and Lerma in midfield, with Fraser right-wing, King left and Wilson central.

Palace fans in good voice - they are on top but hopefully the change can reverse the tide.

56'

55: Not sure if he's offside...

It does looks like van Aanholt is offside, but still, the Dutch defender creates half a yard inside the area and slams in a right-footed effort.

Despite the goal looking dubious, it has been coming, Palace have put us on the back foot here.

Hopefully it can kick start us back into action!

54'

GOAL for Palace.

Patrick van Aanholt scores.

It has been coming.

54'

Working hard to retain the lead...

48'

50: First five minutes of the half...

It's all Palace.

They've been all over us so far, and a few good balls in the box have caused us problems.

They've had most of the ball and we need to ride out this tough patch.

Crowd right behind us though!

HT

46: Back underway...

Ayew kicks us off.

We're attacking the Colmar Construction Ted MacDougall Stand in this half - I've worked for the club for nearly three years and I can't remember a time that's been the case in the second half.

Come on lads!

HT

HALF TIME

A tight affair where we've had a few chances, but the final ball just hasn't been there for us.

The one time it was though, and David Brooks had his first ever Premier League goal as we take a 1-0 lead into the interval.

A great strike too, see you in 15 minutes - just off for a drink!

42'

A nuisance up top for us...

40'

40: Five minutes to the break...

A good half for us.

As ever, you never feel confident at 1-0 but we've looked dangerous going forward.

We'd take it being 1-0 at the break though, as Palace have threatened at times.

See it out lads!

38'

36: Great defending by Ake...

I don't want to jinx it, but every time the ball comes down his side, he's distributed it so well tonight.

Townsend has just put in a dangerous cross which he has stooped low to head away - to which the crowd sing his name.

Mr Consistent for us. (If you're a big club, ignore this post!)

34'

33: Unlucky!

A deep set play is whipped in with real authority by Fraser...

It finds Steve Cook in the middle and he rises high to head it at goal, but it's straight at the 'keeper!

A really good delivery from Fraser, something he's been working hard on at the training ground.

Good stuff - unfortunate!

29'

28: Brooks in the book...

It's a 50/50 and there to be won, but it's a bit of a striker's tackle and he gets booked.

Probably a fair one, he'll have to be careful tracking Zaha now.

21'

20: Opening 20...

... has been good so far.

We have a deserved lead in the game thanks to Brooks' brilliant goal.

Palace have offered a few things going forward but haven't created anything clear cut, and as ever, we do look dangerous going forward.

A good game so far!

19'

Battling well so far...

14'

17: A bit of pressure...

Zaha starts a counter for Palace and sweeps it wide for Wan-Bissaka.

He finds Townsend who floats in a high delivery, it looks set to fall to the unmarked Zaha at the back stick but Francis is there to make an extremely crucial interception!

That was a close one...

14'

12: Two chances!

The first falls to Lerma who is 25-yards out.

He hammers one which takes a deflection to safety, it looked like it was going to trouble Hennessey!

The second is a glancing header from Ake from Smith's cross, he's 12-yards out and it flies just wide!

Close... better from us as we look to regain control.

12'

Love it, David!

11'

10: Save!

Meyer turns and whacks a low effort from 25-yards...

It's struck well and Begovic gets down low to catch it, really good save to keep it firmly in his grasp as it was struck with venom.

Palace have had the better of the game since the goal.

8'

06: A bit of a let off...

Lerma got caught on the ball by Meyer and fouled him as he headed into the penalty area...

Referee Mike Dean doesn't book the Colombian and in all fairness, it is a yellow card.

Milivojevic took the free-kick 25-yards out, it flew just wide via a deflection.

4'

05: GREAT GOAL!

Top, top strike!!

Smith gets down the left and fizzes one into the box...

Wilson then lays off Brooks who cleanly curls a MAGNIFICENT effort off the bar and in!

The boss was pleased with that one on the touchline - great goal!!

4'

GOALLLLLLL!

DAVID BROOKS WHAT A FINISH!!!!!!!!
1'

02: Good chance that!

Positive start!

Brooks gets the ball on the right-hand side and drives into the area...

He feeds a lovely ball across the face and it's JUST a tad away from King waiting in the middle!

The crowd were on their feet - close to the opener!

20:00

01: Underway!

Let's go!

For the first time in a long time, we'll attack the Vitality Steve Fletcher Main Stand in the first half.

Palace opted to switch ends at the toss - Brooks kicks us off though and we're off!

19:56

The teams are out...

This has a real big game feel to it!

It always feels like that under the lights here!

Francis leads the squad out and the crowd are right behind the team...

Here's to another impressive display at home!

Eddie's pre-match thoughts...

19:24

Head to head...

The head-to-head standings don't look to great on us.

We've won just once against Palace in the Premier League, that was in February 2016 when Marc Pugh and Benik Afobe both scored at Selhurst Park.

The other games have seen four draws and one defeat, with the away team opening the scoring in the last four league games.

Our last home win against Palace came in November 1988 - a stat to put right tonight!

19:17

Goalscoring ratio...

I hope highlighting this doesn't jinx us!

Just seen this on the opta site...

"Crystal Palace have scored just 7.5% of their shots in the Premier League this season (excluding blocked efforts) - only Cardiff, with 6.8%, had a worse record prior to the latest round of games."

Make of that what you will!

19:08

One to watch...

FPL favourite Aaron Wan-Bissaka and winger Andros Townsend are picking up form, but there's only one man who we can focus on.

Wilfried Zaha always seems to have a good game against us, he scored here last season and was a nuisance when we played them at Selhurst Park.

He has scored three of the Eagles' four league goals this season, and has bagged in all three of their away games.

One to keep quiet that's for sure!

19:04

First Premier League start of the season for this man!

19:00

TEAM NEWS!

Lewis Cook starts a Premier League game for the first time this season.

Cook is partnered by Jefferson Lerma in the centre of midfield.

Adam Smith will play as a left-back this evening as Diego Rico is on the bench due to his fitness and Charlie Daniels misses out due to injury.

Cherries XI: Begovic; Francis (C), S Cook, Ake, Smith; Brooks, Lerma, L Cook, Fraser; King, Wilson.

18:33

Speaking of Burnley...

That was the theme of Asmir Begovic's pre-match interview.

One of our players and the manager have to do a pre-match interview as part of Premier League regulations, something that the squad share the responsibility of.

It was Asmir Begovic's turn this time around and he wants a league win to respond to that Turf Moor result.

"The result at Burnley didn’t reflect our performance and it’s up to us to put that right tonight. It will be tough though because Palace are a very good team with strong players and we will have to be at our best."

18:31

Our form...

... is good heading into tonight's game.

We're unbeaten in our last four Premier League home games, winning three and drawing one.

In our last 13 top flight matches at home, we've scored more than one goal - might be worth a little look at any bets tonight (gamble responsibly guys!)

The players will also be desperately keen to bounce back from the disappointing day at Burnley...

18:23

Live commentary...

As ever, live commentary will be completely free to everyone with and afcbTV account. (Which is also free!)

Kris Temple and Willo from BBC Radio Solent will be on hand to talk you through the game live from Vitality Stadium, just log in to your afcbTV account and click LISTEN LIVE to join us from approximately 7.30pm around the world.

18:13

What can we expect from Palace?

Well, for the trivia fans out there, they're chasing their 100th ever Premier League win this evening.

The Eagles are on a good run away from home at the moment, having won three of their last four top flight away games - that's more than they had in their last 20 combined!

Roy Hodgson has done a remarkable job since taking over and he looks set to be without Christian Benteke for tonight's game, but Wilfried Zaha should be fit after suffering a back spasm in the warm up against Newcastle United.

18:02

Team news...

We'll bring it to you straight from the dressing room at 7pm.

The manager admitted that there could be a problem at left back this evening, with Charlie Daniels and Diego Rico both struggling with injury.

That means we could see Adam Smith back at left-back, where he played against Blackburn, if Daniels or Rico don't make it.

Junior Stanislas could also be in from the start for the first time in the Premier League this campaign after impressing against Blackburn Rovers.

17:58
